There is so much more to Young Farmers than wellies and tractors!

The first Young Farmers Club dates back to the 1920's and was started to give young people in the countryside an opportunity to socialise with other young people in their areas, but today it also offers much more…

Competitions

Ranging from stock judging to floral arts as well as public speaking and handicrafts, competitions are at the heart of YFC and enjoyed by virtually all members. Competitions are a brilliant motivator for members to have a go at something new and broaden their experiences.

Sport

There are many sports in which members can take part such as a friendly game of football, rugby, netball or hockey to ten pin bowling or tug of war and many more. Sports are a great way to meet other members and have fun!

Charity

Both Local and National Charities benefit from fundraising work undertaken by YFC. Events range from sponsored bike rides to bingo nights. These events are always full of FUN and raise thousands of pounds each year for worthwhile causes.

Travel

From Aberystwyth to Australia, you can go anywhere with Young Farmers! Trips vary from Club & County exchanges to team travel, working holidays and adventure holidays- each one lets members broaden their horizons on a brand new discovery.

Training

Want to learn how to be a better leader, organise the biggest event in town or develop a new skill? LFYFC offers opportunities that not only prepare members for their role in running clubs, but also help develop essential life and career skills.

And of course, socialising

LFYFC gives young people a great opportunity make many new friends with plenty of YFC events every year ranging from local YFC discos to Dinner Dances. The highlight of the social calendar is the NFYFC Convention in April attended by over 5,000 members.
